New Delhi. Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan confirmed that he incurred a slight knee injury while filming the eighteenth edition of Kaun Banega Crorepati. The incident occurred when he lost his footing during a routine take.
Modified Opening Routine
In the subsequent episode, the legendary host broke from his habit of delivering the introductory monologue standing at centre stage. Instead, he chose a chair, explaining that the fresh knee strain made standing uncomfortable.
Big B Calms the Studio
Pointing to his left knee, Bachchan reassured the crew that the issue was minor. He noted that while he would still rise to welcome contestants, he preferred to remain seated for the opening segment to avoid pain. The audience responded with heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery.
KBC 18 Continues Uninterrupted
Despite the setback, the iconic presenter carried on with his hosting responsibilities, interacting with participants and keeping the show’s energy high. Viewers observed the departure from his trademark standing introduction, a hallmark of the programme.
Upcoming Film Commitments
Beyond the quiz show, Bachchan’s film schedule remains packed. He is set to appear in Section 84, a courtroom thriller directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, sharing screen space with Diana Penty, Nimrat Kaur, and Abhishek Banerjee. He is also slated to reprise the role of Ashwatthama in Kalki 2898 AD – Part 2, alongside Prabhas and Kamal Haasan.
