Dehradun: Influencer Anurag Dobhal has become the focus of a police probe after a local resident lodged a complaint accusing him of assault, intimidation and related offences. The FIR was recorded at Nehru Colony police station based on a statement from Raj Singh Chauhan.
Investigators have opened a case file and are currently verifying the details presented in the complaint.
Altercation Allegedly Began at a Meet‑up
According to the FIR, Chauhan travelled to a spot near a Nexa showroom adjacent to Yellow Hills Café on the evening of 5 October to meet Dobhal and several other acquaintances.
The complainant claims that a verbal argument broke out around 8 p.m., which quickly turned into a physical confrontation.
He alleges that Dobhal attempted to choke him, while other individuals present allegedly struck him with sticks and metal objects. The filing also mentions an alleged attempt to run him over with a vehicle.
Phone and Gold Chain Allegedly Stolen
Chauhan told police that he sustained injuries during the scuffle and that his mobile phone and a gold chain were taken from him. He says he managed to leave the scene after the incident.
These accusations have not yet been independently corroborated; investigators are examining the facts surrounding the episode.
Threats Alleged After the Incident
The complainant further maintains that the harassment continued after the altercation. He says he subsequently received threatening phone calls and Instagram messages aimed at both him and his family members.
The FIR lists Dobhal alongside Abhay Chaudhary, Tapan Pandit, Abhishek Tiger, Abhinav Srivastava and Guru Bhai, among others.

Nehru Colony police recorded the case under Sections 117(2), 191(2) and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) based on Chauhan’s complaint.
Evidence collection is underway and statements are being taken to piece together the sequence of events. No final conclusions have been drawn yet; the investigation will determine each accused’s role as it proceeds.
