Mumbai: Monday’s collections fell across the board, yet Ajay Devgn’s suspense‑filled Drishyam 3 stayed firmly on top. After a thunderous opening weekend, the film pulled in roughly ₹21 crore on its first Monday, lifting its Indian net to an estimated ₹197.54 crore.

Drishyam 3 retains the lead

Released on 2 October under the helm of Abhishek Pathak, the mystery drama opened with a ₹62 crore haul, followed by ₹53.50 crore on Saturday and ₹61 crore on Sunday. The robust weekend placed the movie just a few crores shy of the coveted ₹200‑crore milestone. With three straight days crossing the ₹50‑crore barrier, it remains the undisputed front‑runner among current releases. The ensemble—Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Jaideep Ahlawat—has now driven the net tally to about ₹197.54 crore.

The Vvan slips below ₹1 crore

Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s The Vvan enjoyed a respectable weekend but stumbled as the workweek began. After a Sunday gross of ₹3.25 crore, Monday’s earnings plunged to ₹95 lakh on its 11th day, leaving the film’s Indian net at roughly ₹63.05 crore.

Hanuman Ansh registers a sharp Monday dip

The two‑month‑old Hanuman Ansh continues to add to its impressive total, yet daily receipts have nosedived. Sunday’s collection stood at ₹3 crore, while Monday fell to about ₹75 lakh. Despite the slump, the movie’s Indian net now hovers near ₹325.48 crore.

Prem Keetanu struggles for momentum

Among the fresh entrants, Prem Keetanu posted modest figures. It opened with ₹50 lakh on Friday, followed by ₹35 lakh on Saturday and ₹28 lakh on Sunday. Monday’s take was a meagre ₹10 lakh, leaving its four‑day total at a modest level. The cast includes Veer Pahariya, Afiya Syed and Aparshakti Khurana.

Overall box‑office landscape

The latest data underscores a widening chasm between the leader and the rest of the slate. While Drishyam 3 edges ever closer to the ₹200‑crore benchmark, both The Vvan and Hanuman Ansh suffered pronounced Monday declines. As weekday earnings become the key barometer, the coming days will reveal whether these titles can sustain their theatrical momentum.
