Bhiwadi, Rajasthan – In the early hours of Wednesday, a ferocious blaze erupted at the DA Packaging Company’s plant located in the Santhalka Industrial Area, turning the usually bustling hub into a scene of chaos and urgent response.
Rapid Expansion Forces Immediate Action
Nearby residents reported hearing a sudden crackling roar before the fire became visible. Within minutes the flames leapt from one section of the complex to another, prompting locals to dial emergency numbers and the Bhiwadi fire brigade to mobilise several fire engines at once.
Firefighters Grapple with the Flames
Fire Department Chief Raju Khan said his crews arrived to find the fire already well‑advanced. “When our units reached the site, large portions of the building were already ablaze,” Khan explained. Responders quickly deployed high‑pressure hoses, foam retardants, and rotated teams to stop the fire from spreading to adjacent structures.
Assessing the Damage
Early estimates indicate that the plant’s infrastructure, stored raw materials, and finished inventory have suffered extensive damage, though officials have not yet released a definitive loss figure. A thorough audit will be conducted once the fire is fully extinguished to gauge the full economic impact.
Cause Still Under Investigation
The origin of the fire remains unknown. Authorities have not identified a specific trigger, and investigators are awaiting the results of a comprehensive site examination. They stress that a definitive cause will be announced only after a complete forensic analysis.
Fortunately, the fire department reports no injuries or fatalities to date. Further updates on the extent of the damage and the eventual cause are expected as the investigation proceeds.
