Exam Date and Mode

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, has announced that the Group‑B Nursing Officer selection exam will take place on 21 October 2026. The assessment will be administered as a Computer‑Based Test (CBT) in the morning session, following the timetable released on 5 October.

Admit Card Publication

Admit cards are expected to be uploaded on the portal around 14 October 2026. Candidates should retrieve their hall tickets from the official website pgimer.edu.in.

Steps to Download the Admit Card

Log in with the same User ID and password used for the online application, then go to Students > Info for Candidates. Once the admit card appears, download it immediately, store a copy, and verify that all personal details are accurate.

Exam Centre Details

The admit card will show the candidate’s roll number, assigned centre, complete address, and reporting time. It will also mention gate‑opening and closing timings along with other vital instructions. Candidates are advised to review these details thoroughly before setting out for the test venue.

City Allocation Notification

Applicants who successfully completed the online registration will receive an email indicating the city of their allotted centre. PGIMER recommends checking the registered email regularly for updates. While the institute attempts to honor the city preference indicated during registration, final allocation depends on seat availability, infrastructure and other logistical considerations, which may result in a centre outside the preferred city or even in another state.

Policy on Centre Changes

Requests to modify the allotted centre will not be entertained. Candidates must accept the venue printed on their admit card and arrange travel only after confirming the final location.

Application Window Closure

The online application period closed on 3 October 2026. Applicants who submitted their forms can still view and download their applications from the recruitment portal until 11:55 pm on 6 October 2026. After this deadline, the portal will be deactivated.
