Incident Summary
A southbound sleeper bus traveling from Srinagar to Jammu lost traction and overturned on the Jammu‑Srinagar National Highway (NH‑44) close to the village of Marog in Ramban district. The vehicle was carrying 55 passengers at the time of the mishap.
Injured Parties
The crash left a total of 33 people with injuries. Hospital data indicate that 29 men and four women required medical attention. Among those affected, 32 were tourists from West Bengal and one was a Nepali national.
Medical Management
All victims received first‑aid at District Hospital Ramban. Nine patients whose conditions were deemed critical were subsequently shifted to the Government Medical College in Jammu, where they remain under observation.

Following the report, police, emergency services and district officials rushed to the scene. Coordinated efforts led by senior traffic and district officers succeeded in extricating the passengers and clearing the wreckage.
