Senior Learner Brings Weapon to Shri Kund‑Kund Jain Inter College

On Thursday, a senior student slipped past the locked main gate of Shri Kund‑Kund Jain Inter College in Muzaffarnagar, claiming he was there to settle his tuition fees. He carried a locally‑crafted pistol and headed straight for a classroom where a Class 10 pupil was seated.

Gunfire Erupts, Chaos Ensues

Inside the room, the teenager allegedly fired the weapon. Although the shot missed its intended target, the loud bang sent students and staff into a panic. Principal Anurag Jain, together with other teachers, rushed in to intervene, only to find the gunman aiming the pistol at the principal as well.

Why the Violence Occurred

The assailant told authorities that the younger boy and his friends had verbally abused and physically assaulted him earlier in the week. Police suspect the shooting was a retaliatory act after the Class 10 group allegedly struck the senior with sticks two days before.

Teachers Contain the Situation, Police Arrive

Through calm negotiation, the faculty succeeded in disarming the student and securing the pistol along with two cartridges. Law enforcement arrived shortly thereafter, taking the suspect into custody for further questioning.

Principal’s View on Campus Safety

Principal Jain explained that the student’s claim of paying fees initially lowered suspicion, as the gate is locked after entry, limiting escape routes. He commended the staff’s swift action for averting a potentially tragic outcome.

Investigation Continues

Investigators are now reconstructing the timeline of the earlier altercation and the subsequent shooting. The Class 10 student emerged unharmed, and the case remains under active police scrutiny.
