Bhiwani: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini headlined a significant event in Bhiwani this Friday, emphasizing the state's commitment to both its agricultural backbone and its sporting talent. Joined by Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana at the Panchayat Bhawan, the Chief Minister participated in the nationwide rollout of the 24th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme.

Empowering the Agricultural Sector

During his address, CM Saini lauded the PM-Kisan initiative as a cornerstone of rural economic stability. Since its inception by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2019, the scheme has revolutionized how farmers receive support, ensuring direct, transparent financial assistance. The Chief Minister urged the local farming community to stay proactive in leveraging these government-backed welfare programs to enhance their livelihoods.

Celebrating Sporting Glory

The focus shifted from the fields to the arena as the Chief Minister prepared to honor excellence at the Bhim Stadium. In a major boost for the state's sports culture, 125 athletes who secured medals at the Asian and Para Asian Games are set to receive a combined reward of ₹184 crore. This gesture underscores Haryana's reputation as a powerhouse for international sporting talent.

Infrastructure and Community Engagement

Beyond welfare and sports, the visit highlighted a robust development agenda for Bhiwani, including:

  • Infrastructure Growth: The inauguration and foundation stone laying for eight key development projects aimed at modernizing district facilities.
  • Fitness Initiatives: A five-kilometre race for men and women, featuring motorcycles and scooters as prizes to incentivize public health and fitness.
  • Cultural Highlights: A competitive women's kabaddi match between Haryana and Punjab, showcasing regional athletic prowess.
The Chief Minister's visit serves as a testament to the government's dual focus on sustaining the agricultural sector while fostering a culture of high-performance sports and infrastructure development across Haryana.
