Body Found in Neemka Village

In the pre‑dawn hours of Monday, Yogendra – known locally as Lucky – walked to his father Bhole Shankar’s farm carrying a cup of tea. Instead of finding his father, he discovered the farmer lying lifeless on the soil. Shocked, Yogendra immediately contacted the police.

Officers arrived within minutes, cordoned off the area and handed it over to forensic specialists who began collecting evidence. The incident was promptly classified as homicide, with investigators zeroing in on the bitter land dispute that had long divided the two brothers.

Surveillance Video Narrows Down Suspect

Three separate investigative teams were mobilised to probe the killing. Their review of CCTV recordings from cameras positioned around the field captured a figure approaching the site shortly before the fatal blow. The individual bore a strong resemblance to Devendra, the victim’s younger brother.

Police summoned Devendra for questioning, cross‑checking his statements against the video and other forensic data. The convergence of this evidence led authorities to deem him a prime suspect, and he was taken into custody later that night.

Murder Weapon Recovered

Investigators also retrieved a spade from the scene, which is believed to be the instrument used in the attack. The tool now serves as a pivotal piece of evidence as the case moves through the legal process.

Authorities continue to reconstruct the events leading to the farmer’s death. Devendra will appear before the appropriate court, and the probe remains open to uncover any further motives or accomplices.
