Hyderabad. A murder FIR was lodged after the lifeless body of 34‑year‑old bank employee B. Sirisha was found inside a room at the Gokul Pride Hotel in the SR Nagar locality.
Sirisha, a customer‑care executive from Nagasamudram, Vikarabad district, had checked into the hotel on 24 September together with a man identified as A. Srinivas. Investigators say the pair used false names and forged identification documents while making the reservation.
In the hotel register, Srinivas entered the alias “Ganesh,” while Sirisha’s name was recorded as “Durga.” They were assigned room 10.
According to hotel staff, Srinivas departed the premises at about 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, telling them that Sirisha would remain for breakfast before checking out. When the expected checkout time passed without any response and her phone went unanswered, the staff grew suspicious and alerted the police.
Police arrived, used a master key to enter the room, and found Sirisha lying dead on the bed. Preliminary examinations showed marks consistent with a heavy or sharp object. A curtain rod discovered in the room is being examined as a possible weapon. The exact cause of death will be confirmed after the post‑mortem report.
Jubilee Hills DCP A. Ramana Reddy confirmed that a murder case has been registered under Section 103(1) of the BNS. Fingerprints and other forensic material have been collected, and investigators are reviewing CCTV footage to trace Srinivas’s movements and reconstruct the timeline.
Special task forces have been set up to locate Srinivas, and authorities are also probing the discrepancy between the name “Durga” in the hotel log and Sirisha’s real name as per hospital records.
Police are additionally looking into a prior alleged assault involving Sirisha’s husband to determine any link to the present case.
The hunt for the missing man continues as investigators examine every angle of the incident.
