Jaipur — The Rajasthan State Election Commission has re‑sequenced the movement plan for the upcoming Panchayat elections, postponing only the dates when election teams travel to their assigned constituencies. This tweak, intended to respect the Dhanteras festival and ease voter logistics, leaves the actual voting schedule untouched.

Phase One

Election crews heading to Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti contests will now set out on 21 October, with the polls opening on 22 October.

Nominations for Panch and Sarpanch posts are slated for 23 October, followed by voting on 24 October. The Up‑Sarpanch election is scheduled for 25 October.

Phase Two

For the second round, teams will depart on 27 October and conduct Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections on 28 October.

Nomination filing for Panch and Sarpanch seats will occur on 29 October, with polling on 30 October. The Up‑Sarpanch contest follows on 31 October.

Phase Three

The third‑phase departure has been moved forward to 2 November, and voting for Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti members will take place on 3 November.

Nominations for Panch and Sarpanch positions are set for 4 November, with the ballot on 5 November. The Up‑Sarpanch election is planned for 6 November.

Polling Dates Stay Fixed

The commission stressed that the actual polling dates remain unchanged; only the travel itinerary of election officials has been adjusted.

This change prevents any election activity on Dhanteras, a prominent Hindu festival, ensuring that both voters and officials can observe the celebrations without disruption.

With the revised movement schedule, the election process will continue on the previously announced voting dates while honoring the festive calendar.
