Dehradun — The next phase of the ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Vidyarthi Manthan’ programme, designed to bring youth perspectives to the forefront of Uttarakhand’s development, will unfold on 18 September. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will engage directly with 140 carefully selected students from across the state to discuss their vision for “the Uttarakhand of my dreams.”

Over 2.67 Lakh Young Voices Heard

Approximately three lakh students from classes 11 and 12 logged onto the digital portal, with 267,744 submissions detailing aspirations for education, jobs, tourism, environment, migration, technology, health care and self‑employment. An expert panel filtered these entries and identified 140 candidates whose ideas stood out for originality and impact.

Dialogue with Senior Bureaucrats

Beyond the chief minister’s audience, senior IAS officers and heads of key departments—Education, Health, Forest & Environment, Public Works, Tourism, Information Technology, Self‑Employment, and Women & Child Development—will meet the students. These sessions aim to translate youthful suggestions into actionable policy inputs.

Scholarships Up to ₹2 Lakh for Career Coaching

Each of the 140 chosen scholars will receive a scholarship of up to ₹2 lakh to fund career counselling, skill‑building workshops and post‑12th preparation. The financial aid was announced by CM Dhami as a reward for the most thoughtful and constructive contributions.

Embedding Youth Ideas into Government Schemes

CM Dhami affirmed that the administration will strive to weave the students’ recommendations into existing and forthcoming schemes. He emphasized that the ingenuity of Uttarakhand’s youth can steer the state toward a more inclusive and sustainable future.

The September 18 gathering marks a pivotal moment, giving young visionaries a platform to present their proposals directly to the chief minister and to engage in substantive discussions with senior officials on a range of development challenges.
