An 80‑year‑old patriarch, Ramesh Kapoor, his 75‑year‑old wife, Rajni Kapoor, and their 48‑year‑old domestic aide, Tiliya Devi – locally known as Sheila – were discovered dead after a routine plumbing job spiraled into violence.
Police Account: Payment Disagreement Turns Lethal
Investigators say the suspect, identified as Rajkumar, was summoned to the Kapoor home for standard plumbing repairs. Once the work concluded, a clash over the final bill erupted. The altercation quickly escalated, and the elderly couple suffered fatal injuries. Sheila, who heard the uproar while attending to a nearby residence, rushed to help and was also attacked.
The trio was rushed to Coronation Hospital, where doctors confirmed their deaths.

After the murders, Rajkumar tried to escape the area, but alert residents intercepted him and delivered him to the police. Authorities traced his origins to Bijnor and note that he had been residing in Indresh Nagar, Dehradun, with frequent visits to the Kapoor household, making him familiar with their routines.
Rajkumar is now in police custody as detectives reconstruct how a payment row escalated to such a tragedy.
