New Delhi: Vidda, Hisense’s premium home‑theater brand, has introduced its top‑tier Big Eye M2 Pro projector to the Chinese market. Tailored for cinephiles and gamers alike, the device combines a triple‑colour laser source, an integrated 360° gimbal and a suite of high‑end specifications that aim to recreate a theater‑like experience without the need for a ceiling mount.

Pricing and Market Roll‑out

In China, the Big Eye M2 Pro is priced at 5,499 yuan, but a limited‑time promotional subsidy reduces the effective cost to 4,949 yuan. Customers can immediately order the sleek “Moonlight White” variant, while the “Space Silver” model is currently available for reservation only. No official launch date or price has been announced for India.

4K Imaging and Brightness Output

The projector’s heart is a 0.47‑inch DMD chip paired with Vidda’s proprietary QuaLas42 triple‑laser engine. Together they produce up to 1,800 CVIA lumens, bright enough to fill a well‑lit living room. It supports HDR10+ and HLG, and its glass‑lens optics offer a 1.3× optical zoom with a throw ratio ranging from 1.0:1 to 1.3:1.

For a 100‑inch image, the projector should be positioned roughly 2.2 m from the screen; a 150‑inch picture can be achieved from about 3.3 m, depending on the room geometry.

Gaming‑Centric Features

Designed with gamers in mind, the M2 Pro can display 4K content at up to 60 Hz, while dropping to 1080p unlocks a rapid 240 Hz refresh rate. An HDMI 2.1 input, MediaTek MT9679 processor and 3 GB of RAM enable Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low‑Latency Mode (ALLM), ensuring fluid gameplay on compatible consoles and PCs.

360° Motorised Gimbal for Easy Installation

Unlike traditional projectors that rely on ceiling brackets, the Big Eye M2 Pro features a motorised gimbal capable of a full 360° rotation. Users can tilt the unit toward the ceiling, floor or any angle, making it simple to adapt to diverse room layouts or screen placements.

Additional automatic tools—autofocus, keystone correction and screen‑alignment assistance—further reduce setup time, allowing the projector to find the optimal picture with minimal user effort.

Integrated Four‑Speaker Audio

Sound is delivered by a built‑in 20 W four‑speaker array, comprising two full‑range drivers and two tweeters. The audio system supports Dolby Audio and DTS:X, providing an immersive soundstage that complements the large‑format visual output.

India Launch Still Pending

At present, the Big Eye M2 Pro is sold exclusively in China. Vidda has not disclosed a timeline or pricing for an Indian release. Should the company decide to enter the Indian market, it will likely issue a separate announcement with localized details.
