New Delhi: Police in Delhi have taken a 32‑year‑old man into custody after a 43‑year‑old woman filed a complaint alleging sexual assault. The suspect, identified as Vikas of Tri Nagar, is accused of deceiving the victim by inviting her to his home for an eye‑examination.

Alleged Lure and Assault

The woman claims that Vikas approached her under the guise of offering a professional eye check‑up. Upon arriving at his residence, she says she was rendered unconscious and subsequently subjected to sexual violence.

FIR Filed Following the Complaint

In response to the grievance, officers at Keshav Puram Police Station lodged an FIR under the pertinent sections of the Indian Penal Code and launched a formal investigation. The accused was apprehended shortly thereafter.

Ongoing Investigation

Investigators are currently gathering forensic evidence, interviewing witnesses, and reconstructing the timeline of events. Further legal action will be determined based on the outcome of the inquiry.
