Celebration at the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities

Dehradun. To commemorate his birthday on Wednesday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid a heartfelt visit to the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD). He joined the young learners in cutting a cake and spent quality time with them, radiating warmth and affection.

The students welcomed the CM with evident excitement. Dhami interacted personally with each child, offered words of encouragement, and wished them a future filled with success and happiness. The institute resonated with an atmosphere of camaraderie and heartfelt joy.

Emphasising that every child possesses unique talent and boundless potential, the chief minister highlighted the crucial role of providing the right opportunities, mentorship, and confidence. He stressed that empowering people with disabilities transcends governmental duty and calls for collective effort from the entire community.

Dhami urged the youngsters to chase their aspirations with self‑belief, perseverance, and consistent effort. He reminded everyone that ensuring equal chances, dignity, and a nurturing environment is a shared responsibility.

Reflecting on the experience, the CM said that interacting with the children revitalises him, describing their affection and radiant smiles as the most memorable gifts of his birthday.

Accompanying him were his wife, Smt. Geeta Pushkar Dhami, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, and several teachers from the institute, who all took part in the joyous occasion.
