New Delhi – Police say a 17‑year‑old boy was stabbed in the 30 Block of Trilokpuri, Mayur Vihar, in what appears to be a retaliation stemming from an old rivalry.
Chronology of the incident
At approximately 9:30 PM on Wednesday, officers from the Mayur Vihar police station received a distress call about a teenager who had been attacked with knives. Responders rushed to the scene and immediately transported the victim to LBS Hospital.
Given the severity of his injuries, doctors later shifted him to the AIIMS Trauma Centre for advanced care. The boy’s condition is now reported as stable.
Background of the feud
Investigations revealed that the victim had been involved in a clash with another minor about fifteen days earlier. Police allege that the victim and his friends assaulted the other juvenile during that earlier encounter. The lingering animosity is believed to have motivated the later ambush, during which the assailants used two knives recovered by the police.
Police response
Three juveniles have been taken into custody and are currently being interrogated. Simultaneously, police teams are conducting raids at suspected hide‑outs to locate a fourth juvenile who remains at large.
"We are treating this as an attempted murder case and will pursue every lead to bring all involved persons to justice," a senior police official said.
The investigation remains active as authorities work to piece together the exact sequence of events and assign responsibility to each participant.
